Venture Cubed's story begins with a question Richard Blakesley couldn't stop asking during a 20-year career in investment banking and technology M&A: why is the process of evaluating businesses so manual, so inconsistent, and so slow?
In 2016, that question became a product - the Capital Pilot Investability Rating, the UK’s first systematic startup assessment tool. Over the following years, the methodology was refined, tested across hundreds of companies, and in 2022, deployed at scale through the Boost Fund - the UK’s first systematic early-stage VC fund, which completed 50 investments in just three months using automated ratings-based selection.
In 2024, Richard and Rahul Sinha launched Venture Cubed to take the methodology to the next level. Built entirely on AI-native architecture, the new platform extends beyond venture capital into private equity and SME lending - and through Studios, into any sector where complex data and operational workflows can be reimagined through AI.
Today, Venture Cubed operates as a group of interconnected businesses. V3 Studios Ltd holds the intellectual property and equity stakes. Venture Cubed Systems delivers productised platforms for private capital markets. Venture Cubed Studios builds bespoke AI-native solutions across multiple sectors. And our growing portfolio of joint ventures - MyTeAIm, Beachrock Insight, and LegalAi Group - extends our reach into recruitment, real estate, and legal services through partnerships with domain experts.

Richard Blakesley
Co-Founder & CEO
Richard spent 20 years in investment banking and technology M&A before turning his attention to the problem that would define the next decade: how to systematically evaluate businesses at scale. He designed the UK’s first startup success rating in 2016, launched the first VC fund with a high-volume automated selection system, the Boost Fund in 2022, and founded Venture Cubed in 2024. Richard leads strategy, commercial development, and client relationships across the group.
Rahul Sinha
Co-Founder & CTO
Rahul is the technical architect behind every platform in the Venture Cubed group. He championed a “domain expertise first” development strategy that enables rapid build cycles without sacrificing depth, and has designed industrial-scale AI systems that process hundreds of data points per assessment using custom-trained models. Rahul serves as CTO across the Venture Cubed Group, and as technical lead for the group’s joint ventures.
